Adsett house completed in Mornington Peninsula, Australia

A house and studio for artist Peter Adsett has been completed in Shoreham, a small village on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. The house, now referred to as the Humbug, set out to bring art and architecture together: the nod to Daniel Buren's famous stripes being perhaps the most obvious.

Research grant from VUW

KebbellDaish has been awarded a research grant this summer to develop ideas that have been implemented in recent built projects by KebbellDaish into a broader theoretical framework. The grant strengthens both KebbellDaish and Victoria University as they both work towards stronger ties between the broad ideas, principles, and research of academia and the specific opportunities of contemporary practice.

Sam Kebbell gives workshop in Tehran, Iran

Sam Kebbell delivered a series of three lectures in Tehran that formed the7th Advanced Architecture Workshop. Organised by an independent group of contemporary Iranian architects the purpose of this group is to create a forum for contemporary architecture in Iran and engage young Iranian architects with other architects from around the world. Invited by associate professor and principal of OfficedA in Boston, Nader Tehrani, speakers in the series have included Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Momoyo Kaijima Atelier Bow-Wow from Japan, Vicente Guallart from Spain, Bjarke Ingels from BIG architects, and Nader Tehrani himself.
